The Avett Brothers have extended their planned tour across the United States by nearly a dozen dates. In addition to the previously revealed spring and summer dates, there will be additional performances in September, October, and November.
The band's upcoming self-titled studio album, The Avett Brothers, is being supported by the lengthy tour. The Avett Brothers' first new album in five years, produced by Rick Rubin, will be released on May 17 via Ramseur Records/American Recordings/Thirty Tigers. The album builds on Rubin's long-standing collaboration with the band, which is helmed by siblings Scott and Seth Avett, and is the follow-up to 2019's Closer Than Together. The lead single from the nine-track LP, "Love Of A Girl," was made available late last month.
The Avett Brothers will alternate headlining performances at amphitheaters and arenas with slots supporting Luke Combs from April 19 through August 24. This is after they go on stage at The Beach in Mexico the following month to lead the bill at the 2024 edition of their musical vacation event.
The next leg of The Avett Brothers' 2024 U.S. tour starts in Indianapolis on September 12 with Houndmouth. Then, on September 13, the group and Melissa Etheridge share the main stage at Franklin, Tennessee's FirstBank Amp. There are other scheduled dates in September in Duluth, Georgia (September 14), Little Rock, Arkansas (September 17), Tulsa, Oklahoma (September 18), and New Braunfels, Texas (September 20 & 21).
October 6 in San Diego will mark the return of the tour, followed by dates in Phoenix on October 9, Grand Prairie, Texas, on October 11, Sugar Land, Texas, St. Paul, Minnesota, on October 24, Moline, Illinois, on October 25, and Lexington, Kentucky, on October 26. After the first Moon Crush An Avett Moon beach weekend in Miramar Beach, The Avett Brothers added a concert in New Orleans on November 7 and a swing across Florida with stops in St. Augustine on November 15, Clearwater on November 16, and Hollywood on November 17.
