Shrek the Musical is back! Hopping over to Arizona on May 9th of the new year, the memorable tale of the ogre and his donkey is set to stage its own theatrical twist to the iconic animated film this 2024. First premiered in 2008, the Broadway spectacle soon found critical acclaim, receiving eight Tony nominations and an award for Best Costume Design. The West End production also bagged four nominations at the Oliver Awards.
From over four hundred performances in its initial 12-month Broadway run, Shrek The Musical proved to be a hit. Later on, they produced succeeding tours and even crossed borders, staging national tours in the UK, Ireland, and Australia. Several other international productions were also held, including Germany, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and so forth.
"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." Then began the life-changing tale of adventure, where the unexpected hero in the form of an ogre embarks on an adventure with a Donkey and a princess who was oblivious to his rescue.
