In the past couple of years, he has also become a favorite collaborator among prominent names in the industry, like Justin Bieber, Halsey, and Doja Cat. Apart from his music career, he has dabbled in acting, appearing on the hit HBO show "Euphoria."
Dominic David Fike came into an age in Naples, Florida. He grew up in an African-American and Filipino household, which exposed him to hip-hop, rapping, and singing. His early influences were Jack Johnson, Blink-182, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. He received his first guitar at ten and has never stopped playing since. In his late teens, he joined a rap group, which gained popularity.
In 2017, Fike decided to post his demos on SoundCloud. By this time, he has already begun working with a music producer. His posts took a little time to get famous, and by the end of the year, he already released his debut EP "Don't Forget About Me, Demos." His prior success on the music streaming site allowed him to be noticed by major labels. They were so interested in him that they began a bidding war. The winning label was Columbia Records, and he was soon signed with a multi-million dollar deal.
In 2018, "Don't Forget About Me, Demos" was reworked by the major label. After the release, the EP's track "3 Nights" succeeded exponentially. It debuted at the top of many charts in the US, Australia, and the UK. The following year, many of his banger songs came out, such as "Açaí Bowl," "Rollerblades," and "Phone Numbers." After years of EP success, his debut album was finally produced in 2020, entitled "What Could Possibly Go Wrong." It was an expected mainstream success and peaked on many Billboard charts. This year, he will release his newest album, "Sunburn."
