Counting Crows, formed in 1991 but first broke out into the mainstream with their debut album, August and Everything After, in 1993. The album was a huge success, selling over seven million copies in the US, and still makes up the bulk of their album sales today, which sits at over an incredible twenty million albums. For their outstanding work, in 1994, the band was nominated for "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" for "Round Here" and "Best New Artist."
Recovering the Satellites, the follow-up, topped the charts in a number of countries, including the United States. After that, they released a string of successful albums, nine of which charted in the top ten on Billboard's 200.

Frank Turner began his career working with the band Million Dean and eventually found his own path by focusing on an acoustic-based solo career after the band split in 2005. His music takes elements of folk, punk, and acoustic rock, while his lyrics have a deep meaning that fans love to connect with.
