Colter Wall is a singer, songwriter, and musician. His music is like a country-folk-western fusion. Growing up, he had a dose of country vibes at home, thanks to legends like Johnny Cash. At 13, he started jamming out to rock gods like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. Then came the blues phase. Eventually, he dove into the world of folk. Around grade 10 or 11, Colter caught wind of Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right." And, he says that’s when inspiration struck. He decided to switch things up and started belting out his own tunes instead of just shredding the guitar.
Fast forward to 2015, he released an EP called "Imaginary Appalachia." Then, in 2017, his self-titled debut album hit the scene. This album was followed by "Songs of the Plains" in 2018. His third album, "Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songsn" was released in 2020. This year, he released the critically acclaimed album “Little Songs.”
Now, for the exciting part. Colter Wall just unveiled all the details on his 2024 "Little Songs" tour! Starting from Jan. 11 in Denver, Colorado, he's gonna roll through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California. He’s going to be belting out tunes from his critically acclaimed 2023 album.
This Saskatchewan superstar, known for his gruff baritone and storytelling lyrics, just wrapped up some October gigs. He is also closing out the year with three shows alongside Red Shahan. As he’s said in a song, “You might not see a soul for days on them high and lonesome plains. You got to fill the big empty with little songs.”
