Chelsea Handler has had one of the most successful careers. The work she has done has given her the opportunity to wear many different hats, such as comedian, television host, writer, and producer.
Handler entered the world in 1975 in Livingston, New Jersey. She is the youngest of six children and had a religious upbringing instilled in her by her parents, who were Jewish and Mormon. She attended Livingston High School but was an unwilling student. That didn't stop her from achieving success, though.
She started off as a part of an all female reality television series called Girls Behaving Badly. She also had guest appearances on hit sticoms such as My Wife and Kids, The Bernie Mac Show, and the drama series The Practice. After a few attempts at hosting, she finally landed her own show, The Chelsea Handler Show on E!, which ridiculed the entertainment industry, unfortunately, that only lasted two seasons. Her show, Chelsea Lately, was what really helped her break out into the mainstream, averaging more than half a million viewers and extremely popular clips on YouTube. She hosted that show for an incredible 7 years and was the only female to do so during that time.
She has also worked with Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Tour, which traversed the nation, as well as her own successful tours. Her resume includes big names like HBO, VH1, MTV, Netflix, and so much more, so it is fair to say that she has pretty much dominated the industry.
With six books that have already made the “New York Times Best Sellers List,” Chelsea's ability to captivate an audience is not just limited to television. Plus, she attracts a huge readership from her columns in the Cosmopolitan and NOW.
It seems like Handler has done it all, but how, when, and why did it all happen? Well, you can find out all of that and more at her brand new tour, LBB, which takes a retrospective look at her past. It is going to be a wild ride of laughter as you find out her life story, and it is guaranteed to be a night full of incredible entertainment. Tickets will sell out, so be sure to secure yours right here and now before it is too late.
