Iliza Shlesinger was born in New York in 1983 to Jewish parents and spent her childhood in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a comedian. There, she became part of a group of comedians where she would hone her craft. Her journey took her to competitions such as Myspace's contest called "So You Think You're Funny" in 2007, which she won, and 2008's NBC's Last Comic Standing, which she also won.
Success has become part of her life, so it's nothing unusual anymore for Iliza Shlesinger to perform to sold-out crowds, as she has quickly risen to the ranks of one of the most phenomenal comedians of our time. With her immense talent, she has created several comedy specials, including "War Paint," "Freezing Hot," "Confirmed Kills," “Elder Millennial,” "Unveiled,” and “Hot Forever.”
Having already conquered comedy, Iliza turned her hand to acting, where she wrote and acted in the Netflix romantic comedy “Good on Paper,” as well as starring in the hit movie alongside Mark Wahlberg, Spencer Unlimited.
Interestingly, Shlesinger's response to the pandemic was incredible. She and husband, Noah Galuten, introduced “Don't Panic Pantry,” a cooking show, to help flatten the curve by encouraging people to stay at home. The show was streamed live on Iliza's social media platforms and featured over 200 episodes. It received wide critical acclaim and ultimately resulted in the cook book, “The Don't Panic Pantry Cookbook: Mostly Vegetarian Comfort Food That Happens to Be Pretty Good for You.”
In her personal life, she is currently married to Noah Galutan, the Chef/James Beard Award nominated author. In addition to their daughter, Sierra Mae, they also have a Chinese rescue dog named Tian Fu, and they all live in California.
Right now, she's back on the road, hitting up different city accross North America with a trek titled the “Hard Feelings Tour” and fans can expect one of the most incredible and hilarious shows as she takes you on a journey of epic proportions.
Honestly, you don't want to miss out on this super fun show so be sure to grab your tickets right here and now before it is too late.
